I didn't need to make a perfect cut so I just used a jigsaw and a power drill with a large drill bit for the corners.
Street Fighter II Champion Edition Arcade Restoration Project: This blog was created to track my progress on this cabinet's renewal. I am not a professional, this is a learning experience. However, I hope others may be able to use this as a tool to help them with their own arcade adventures. FYI: These updates could be as far as two weeks behind the actual progress of the machine.

Cutting stuff
I didn't need to make a perfect cut so I just used a jigsaw and a power drill with a large drill bit for the corners.

Taking out front panel
Wasn't hard to get out. |
Just put the new wood in to hide to see if it fit as well as hide the public from staples. |

New wood for cabinet
In the back of cabinet. This is 5/8" particleboard. The original is 3/4 however I think this will suffice. I wouldn't recommend doing a whole cabinet with it though. |
Leftovers. |
Had it cut at Lowes. I went a little long to avoid mistakes. |
